Santa Fe New Mexico artist Elizabeth Hahn began her life on an island in Louisiana, exploring the wild land between the Red River and the levee that usually kept the water at bay. She collected an endless array of small animals and imagined the fantastic creatures that lived below the opaque water. As an artist in later life, her careers have always involved both teaching art, showing and working in nonprofit and for profit art venues. Her most recent adventure after 20 years co-owning Hahn Ross Gallery in Santa Fe is to concentrate solely on painting.
